*Y5/6 Rugby match
v Boulcott School on Wednesday, with kick off @ 12pm @ Boulcott School.
*The Muritai
School ‘Mini Olympics’ will be held on Tuesday. The ‘Parade of Nations’ will begin at 9.20am
*ASB Girls soccer
tournament. The tournament was played in
the new ASB arena in Wellington last week.
Muritai 1 only lost 1 of 5 games and Muritai 2 also played well.
We had some
really positive feedback from one of the parents that attended:
“I also wanted to
let you know what a pleasure it was to attend this event with the girls. It was awesome to see how they supported each
other, had some fantastic chants on the sideline and represented Muritai to the
standards you would expect. The school
can be very proud of them.”
Well done girls!
*Touch teams to
be announced this week. There are 5 Year 5/6 teams entered, which is the most we’ve ever had. We are just waiting for confirmation from
Touch NZ.
*Tennis – Mr McMillan will be meeting,
sometime this week, with all of those who have shown interest in representing
the school at the tennis tournament in term 4.
*Cross Country – Macey Caughley will
be competing in the Inter-Regional Primary Schools Cross Country Championships
on Thursday at Queen Elizabeth Park on the Kapiti Coast. We wish her all the best for the race!

Muritai School Values
*Last week our
goal was to show courtesy. This week we are focusing on RESPECT. There have been a number of incidents
recently that have shown a lack of respect for others and their property. One most important values we have as citizens
is respect. Respect encompasses our 4Cs,
it means to show consideration for; treat courteously or kindly. We need to be appreciating and
respecting others differences and uniqueness- protecting others- especially if
they are new and you notice someone giving them a hard time.
